Plagiarism detection
Journal of Audiology, Otoneurology and Phoniatrics uses specialized software to detect plagiarism. The text received will undergo a screening before being sent to editorial and academic review. It will be sought that articles are at least 20% original. This is to say, at least 20% of the information is original in the field of knowledge, regardless of the properly referred citations.
If possible plagiarism is detected or reported for a previously published text, the procedure to follow will be the one COPE summarizes in this flowchart.
The consequences may vary from a warning, if the case is an error or misunderstood, up to the rejection of the article and denounce the author(s) before their institutions.
